Hey,

I'm delurking just to say that Bzengo and the gong of Doom are kind of scaring me. :pray I'm in Kansas, and well, that shockwave may hit me first so... yeah... whew... if you've got the time... could save countless lives, satisfy countless more kittens... all in a days work, kinda cool really...

When I first got into fic, I started with the Extra Flamey site, and then kindof graduated into the kittenboard (This is actually the first time I've posted). Your fic has always been some of my favorite. Its some of the most well written continuitious fic I've read. You rock.

:read Back to lurking now :wave

Well I'll be... so many things make sense now. I'd been wondering if our Lisa and the Pulitzer Lisa were one and the same, its not surprising, just one of those "I thought so" moments. And the whole "raised on hanging off cliffs"... yes this is making sense now! Thanks Bzengo

I'm almost tempted for you to sound the gong o' doom just for the helicopter ride with Sassete. Hmm... I wonder... If I asked extra special nice... could Sassete pick up Ruth first, then come get me? I've her that you havent lived until you've seen Ruth's breasts in person. Something about the promised land...

Anyhow, I'm absolutely certain that Lisa would never do ANYTHING to harm your Miss Brianna. And, hey, if she does, looks like you get to use the mighty gong and several kittens get to have a ride in a very small helicopter. There'd have to be some sitting in laps... This really could be fun either way, couldn't it? :D

bzengo,

well, now you've outed me!

For the record, I have been at a prolonged family reunion with my feral cat family. You have no idea how difficult it is to import that much Iams cat food to a small island. We had to enlist a small army of dolphins to carry the bags over on little tiny backpacks. The airport security limits catfood importing. See, it's those drug sniffing dogs. They hate cats, especially feral cats.

For the record, I have renounced my wealth and moved out of the castle. I now live on in a small cottage on the edge of a lovely cliff.

This talk of the gong of doom? I mock your gong of doom! My cottage is made of stone, and impervious to the gong of doom, in fact, a recent attack from the similar the "bong of doom" was thwarted by my pack of trained attack feral ground squirrels. They confiscated said bong of doom and chased off the interlopers. Sadly, 200 feral ground squirrels with the munchies led to a late night raid on the California Almond Growers warehouse. Heads up. Almond prices will go up. There are no almonds left in California.

I await word of bzengo's gong of doom. My squirrels are on probation, but they can still kick ass even while wearing their probation orange jumpsuits. Oh, and they have skills. Many skills. Those squirrels have been typing their paws to the bone sending emails to assure ME's downfall. Two down...one to go!

-----

Now, seriously-

The time between updates has been criminal. I do know that. I have been extremely busy with tons of stuff. Some of it SO incredibly awesome I can barely keep it contained. But I will. ;-) Once this incredibly awesome thing comes to pass, I will spill all- or some- well, what I can. But for now, well, let's just say that I have been getting some inspiration for writing Tara. There are good reasons why she has so much integrity.

The next chapter has been difficult for me to write, emotionally. I am still not satisfied with it. It has involved several rewrites and I am still not satisfied. Plus, I haven't had time to work on it, so each rewrite has to wait and wait.

I will tell you, and specifically bzengo- queen of the gong of doom- I love Brianna as much as I adore Tara. Now, given my "Tara must always end up okay" rule... you can make your on conclusions.

As for Dawn and Bre... well... Bre DOES have a dangerous job. Not saying anything. Just bringing up a random point. Oh, and let's not forget Doctor Dawnie has a few issues hinted at early on.

There was a question about why I included the failed pregnancy attempt... Well, I wanted to show that even though the conception is magical, it doesn't guarantee a pregnancy, just like regular couples don't get pregnant every time they try. Plus, the conception ritual is not without risk. Every time they use it, they are tapping VERY powerful magic. That means Willow HAS been using major magic already. As for the dark magic versus goddess magic... that will be covered in some detail. I'm trying to clean up the mess ME made of magic in the last two seasons.

Okay, I have to run. Please know that all the support here means SO much, and in spite of my squirrel minion threats, I adore you all. Right now, Milestones has to take a back seat to some real life needs. I will try to steal some time from sleep and do another rewrite. Right now I am averaging about 5 hours of sleep a night. I actually get 7 on weekends so I can shave some time from that. ;-)

bzengo- if I hear that gong of doom... I will send stoned squirrels to raid your kitchen.

Lisa

Great to here from you Lisa.

And girl, you need more then 5 or even 7 hours sleep. Spoil yourself, and try and grab 8. Personally, if I don't get 8 every now and then, I'm just cranky, and not very nice. And you have to be in the right frame of mind when you are writing about our girls.

We will be patient. WE WILL try!

I have a confession to make...I'm in love with your writing. I know, I know it's sudden and totally unexpected (almost as much as your consequences) but it's the truth so I just have to ask: Will your fic marry me? No?:cry

Anyway on a more serious note. You are awesome so you are allowed to take as much time as you need I decree it. I actually reread most of the stuff on your website and 'Milestones' this morning. I don't get much sleep either but it's not me being busy doing imporant life-changing things. No it's me staying up until 2:00 when I need to be up at 6:45. So get some sleep and write with a clear head. I truly appreciate the time you take to make your fics worth staying up for.:clap :party

Lisa, don't loose too much sleep for us kittens will you ? You need sleep and five hours during the week doesn't sound like it's enough.Don't post an update you yourself aren't happy with. Yes we're waiting here, but we (me at least) are getting kinda used to it so take some time to recover from real life first :) .

The thing I'm wondering most about in Milestones at the moment is what's up with Tara's familly ? The other problems I can see resolved sooner or later, but I don't even know whats with Tara's dad. I'll take a guess and assume not much good is going to come from that direction...

On the bright side; people new to the Milestone universe now have had plenty of time to read Unexpected Consequences. I don't see Brianna as being in danger really, but I do want to see Tara and Willow's response to her request to take the challenge. Same goes the talk to two people who were supposed to be guarding Brianna, heh :D .

and of course I want to see Willow overcome her fear of magic (preferably without an immediate-threat-trigger)

I'll wait for all that as long as it takes though, now go get some sleep and feed the squirrels :D

Gosh, I have missed everyone!

First... Linda, sweetie- miss motor-cycle-driving-tough-Texas-gal-who-knows-WAY-too-much-about-handcuffs, you are SO not the innocent one here. ;-) I am just a shy country girl who knows nothing of your big city ways. Linda LURED me into dens of lust! (chocolate, leather, and other)

Mouse, I love sleep. I miss sleep, but I've got a ton of things going on. Sleep is the one thing I can cut out and still get things done. Did I mention nearly falling asleep while horseback riding? I love horses. Way better than cars. You can sleep and let the vehicle drive!

Paigeosity, you're in love with my fic?! Are you're intentions pure? How exactly would you marry fiction? I'm all for the love that dare not peak its name, but I'm thinking that marriage could end with you having paper cuts in some very uncomfortable places. HANDS! I meant hands!

TheIrish, thanks for the kind words, sweetie. Now then, about your name... are you Irish in the Ireland since? I have to tell you, I have a friend from Ireland and her accent makes me swoon. It's very embarrassing.

Little M, I will work on the sleep factor. It's actually cutting into my ability to write fiction. I do a lot of my processing in those minutes before sleep. I work out plot elements right before sleep and my brain swirls the stories around overnight. Now that I am not getting the sleep, the story elements are harder to get on paper. whaa!

Grimmy! Oh, how I have missed your avatar! I can always count on you to have concise discussion about stuff that is soon to come up in my stories. I swear you read minds. Have no fear. Willow and her magic is going to be addressed, and I hope in a plot twist no one will see coming!

Okay, gotta run. Hungry horses wait for no woman!

Lisa

Lisa

We're just playfully jabbing at you. Please, get some sleep, from one insomniac to (seemingly) another: 5 hrs sleep a week is baaaad. And if you dont think a chapter is up to your standards, then thats cool. You'd probably impress the hell out of us anyway because it is your work, but hey, "if the author aint happy, aint nobody happy".:)

And, one small gripe. I tried to buy almonds yesterday. :shock CRIPES Lisa! You didnt say that they'd be that expensive!!! Poor student here who just wanted almonds! Luckily, the walnuts were cheap. Seriously, give those squirrels some Little Debbie cakes or something.

Hey everyone!

FYI-

I'm doing a site overhaul. My Willow and Tara links are now gone.

However, all stories are still on the web. Just change the number at the end of the URL to find the next section.

I have to rewrite ALL the code for the stories. I originally did

all the pages using MS Word and then converted to HTML files.

I've been told that is a very bad thing. ;-) There is extra code

tossed in that causes problems loading.

The pages may stop loading with only part of the page. If this

happens, hold the CONTROL key while you hit "refresh" (F5) and a new page will load. You can also empty the cache. Until I get all the pages reworked using proper HTML code, I will not list the fan fic. You can still find the old pages.

Here are the basic story addresses if you want to read them:

Err.. Lisa... you ARE aware there are programs that strip that extra Word stuff out of your html aren't you ? HTML Tidy has a specific option for cleaning up that kinda stuff: --word-2000 yes --uppercase-tags yes --write-back yes

Download program from here. There is a windows interface for it here.

Without the windows interface you could just run:

tidy.exe --word-2000 yes --uppercase-tags yes --write-back yes milestones01.html

Although milestones01 looks fine to me, as far as source goes :) Seems to be generated with Word 97 which appearantly makes less of a mess compared to Word 2000, XP or Frontpage.

Can't have you spend too much time re-doing pages we've already read of course :)

I have been re-reading these all as well.

I do like this world that Lisa has made. I am getting some extra joy out of it because I am really looking forward to how she will handle the Dawn/Bre story arc. Sure it is a "B" arc, but in way it very much parrellels Willow and Tara's own story.

Plus I have such undisguised affection for Lisa's Dr. Dawn.

Yeah there is no Chapter 16 yet. But I am sure we will see it soon.
