The first hint was the long sleeve shirts. Now, there is an illness or something, where you are always cold, but it usually only occurs in old people. I suspected scars but that...

This a wonderful fic! Just caught up on all of the chapters. Poor Tara with all of the abuse scars. Hopefully Willow's house won't be the first place Tara's family looks for her. I like the opening chapter with the kids and the monsters in the closet and under the bed. Well written.
