~Part 45a~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Wow.” Buffy looked over a big valley, watching the stars blink and disappear as more appear.
“I know.” Faith smiled.
“How long have you wanted to show me this?”
“Since the first day I met you.”
“That was a long while ago.” Buffy smiled softly and took Faith’s hand in her own.
“I know.”
“So, why now?”
“You’re beautiful Buffy, and I wanted to ask you something.” Faith closed her eyes and breathed in deeply before digging into her pocket.
Buffy watched her girlfriend intently. She noticed the way the brunette was concentrating on the babblefest going on in her head. “Faith?”
Pulling out what she wanted from her pocket, Faith looked into Buffy’s eyes. “Buffy, this isn’t a proposal.” She laughed nervously. “But I do have this ring that I would like for you to wear.” Opening her hand, Faith revealed a dark ebony ring. “My grandmother gave me this when she found out I was…a slayer. She told me that it would always protect me from harms way and it would also bring me good luck. And it worked. I have you in my life and I don’t want anyone else. I love you, Buffy. And I want to protect you from harms way, even though I know you are way more then capable of doing that yourself.” She searched the shorter blonde’s eyes. “So I am asking you, if you’d wear my ring and let me be there for you…”
“Oh Faith…” Buffy threw her arms around the other woman’s neck, hugging her tightly. She knew how hard it would be for Faith to prepare anything, remotely romantic. But she knew she was able too. Faith had asked her for a life time of being together. “Yes.” She whispered.
Faith smiled and let out a deep breath she never realized she was holding. “Really?”
“Yes.” Buffy simply said, pulling back. “I love you too, Faith.”
Blushing slightly, Faith turned her head back towards the stars. “No one’s ever came close to you, B. No one.”
“I’m glad.” Buffy smugly smiled. “I don’t want anyone close to you. No one.”

“It doesn’t fit!” Dawn scowled.
Tori laughed at the cuteness of her girlfriend and snuggled closer as she wrapped them up tighter in a blanket. “Wrong piece sweetie.”
Lily covered her mouth with her tiny hand and looked at her best friend, Hadley. “Here.” She handed Dawn another colourful piece.
Dawn took the puzzle piece and placed it into an empty space on the table. “Ha! It fits!” She bounced and gave Lily a high five. “Thanks.”
“Aunt Tori?” Hadley handed Lily a cookie, while she waited for Tori to answer her. “When mama and mommy get home from night class, can we all play a different game?”
“I don’t see why not.” Tori smiled at her niece. “How about for now, we finish this puzzle and maybe we can show Lily our movie collection.” She smiled at the other young girl.
“Oh yea!!” Hadley bounced and grabbed Lily’s hands in hers. “I never showed you before. We have almost every movie! Well, most of them are mommy’s but she shares with us.”
“Cool.” Lily giggled and looked over at a big cabinet. “What kind of movies?” She asked.
“All kinds. Some we can’t watch though, because we are too young. But we have a lot of cartoons. Shrek, Lilo and Stitch, Cinderella, Snow White, Dumbo, Fox and the Hound-”
“I got it, thanks.” Lily smiled sweetly. “Can we watch one later?”
“Of course.” Hadley grinned and flashed a lopsided grin. It was her very first sleep over and she was excited that Lily was able to come over. Tara had asked Mikey’s parents, but they were heading out of town for that weekend, and hopefully, next time he’d be able to join them. “Want to sleep out here?” She asked.
Tori and Dawn watched the two younger friends interact. “Do you ever wonder, if Hadley…likes females?” Tori whispered, smiling a bit.
“Um, no.” Dawn giggled quietly. “She’s all boy crazy.”
“So was I, at that age.” Tori smirked. “This boy, Larry, he was the sweetest boy ever.”
“And now?” Dawn raised an eyebrow.
“And now, I am in love with Dawn Lee Summers.” Tori whispered, a graceful smile appearing across her lips.
“Honey’s we’re home.” Willow sang, her hand holding Tara’s tightly. She smiled when Hadley and Lily came bounding into the hallway. “Hey beautiful princesses.” She grinned.
Tara smiled and kissed Willow on the cheek. “I’m starved…who wants popcorn?” She asked as Lily followed her into the kitchen.
“Mommy?” Hadley tugged on the hem of Willow’s shirt.
“What is it sweetie?”
“Can Lily and I sleep out here? In front of the fireplace?” Her eyes big and blue.
Willow grinned and ran her fingers through the blonde curls that were growing fast. “Definitely. You two want to watch movies?”
“Yes!” Hadley clapped as she followed Willow into the kitchen as well. “But we promise to be asleep right after.”
“What are we all excited about?” Tara smiled, putting a package of popcorn in the microwave.
“Lily and I get to sleep on the living room floor.” Hadley giggled, hopping up on a stool beside Lily.
“Like a camp-out.” Willow said excitedly. “We have to have a camp-out sometime.” She whispered into Tara’s ear.
“It’s a definite must.” Tara flashed a heart warming smiled towards her beauty.
“So, what movie are we watching?” Dawn came into the room with Tori on her heels. “Or are we not allowed to crash the party.”
“You can watch a movie with us, but since Princess Lily is our guest, she gets to pick the movie of her choice.” Hadley grabbed Lily’s hand and smiled. “Come on, let’s get you a movie.”
Lily giggled as her and Hadley ran out of the kitchen, hand in hand.
“I hope they pick something good.” Tori leaned against the counter. “None of that fairytale crap.”
All the other three women looked at Tori, all eyebrows raised. “What?” They asked.
“I swear, no more Faith for you.” Dawn frowned. “Willow! Faith’s corrupting my girlfriend!” She scowled.
“Relax Dawnie, I was only kidding.” Tori laughed. “I’m a hopeless romantic, you know that.” She grinned and kissed her girl on the cheek softly.
“She is.” Tara murmured. “You should hear her gush about you, Dawn.”
“Tara!” Tori blushed when Willow started making kissing noises.
“Oh, Dawn is such a great kisser; Dawn has the softest hands; I can’t wait for the dance so I can hold Dawn in front of everyone-” Tara grinned and closed her mouth at the intense stare her sister was giving her.
Dawn wrapped her arm around Tori’s waist and whispered something in her ear. She pulled back and watched Tori’s face flush slightly as shock crossed her expressions. “Dawn!” Tori laughed.
“What?” Dawn giggled and kissed Tori’s forehead. “I’ll be in the living room, waiting.”
“What was that all about?” Tara asked, an eyebrow raised.
“Wouldn’t you like to know.” Tori smirked and grabbed some glasses from the cupboard. She couldn’t help but let out a snort of laughter when Tara started to tap her fingers on top of the counter. “Tare, really, do you tell me what Willow whispers in your ear?”
“Well…no…but that’s because it’s usually something sexua…” The older blonde stopped mid sentence and stared at her younger sister before shaking her head. “Okay, you’re right, I don’t want to know.” The subject was dropped.
Willow snickered as Tori gave her a knowing glance. Tara still didn’t know about that night of Hadley’s play, when she found the teenagers in a loving, passionate embrace. The girls made her promise not to say a word, and she was keeping that promise. “What is everyone drinking?” She asked, opening up the fridge.
“Dawn and I will have Pepsi.” Tori smiled and handed the glasses over to Willow. “We should give Hadley and Lily juice.”
“Yes.” Tara nodded as the timer went off of the microwave. “And I’ll have juice as well.”
“Me too.” Willow grinned as she pulled out a bottle of Pepsi and some Kool-Aid.

“Miss Maclay?” Lily looked up at the older blonde.
“What is it, sweetie?” Tara smiled at the small girl, snuggled in her sleeping bag, beside her sleeping daughter.
“Can I sleep over again?” She asked.
“Whenever you want, Lily.” Tara bent forward and ran her fingers through Lily’s hair.
“My mom says that you are the greatest mother in the world.”
“She did?”
“Yes, because you’ve been through so much, raising a child, a sister, going to school, maintaining a relation…relation..”
“Relationship?” Tara grinned.
“Yea. She says she would rather me be here then somewhere else when she’s out of town…” Lily sat up and looked over at her best friend, then to a sleeping Willow. “Do you think Hadley and I will be best friends forever?”
“I know so.” Tara smiled softly. “Hadley loves you and Mikey so much. She would do anything to keep your friendship.”
“Even when I move?” Lily’s voice was so soft, with a trace of sadness to it.
“You’re moving?” The older woman frowned.
“That’s what my mom says. We might move by next year if she can’t keep her job.”
“Oh Lily.” Tara swept the girl in her arms as Lily cried silently. “It’s not definite sweetie.”
Lily just stayed in Tara’s arms as she wept. Being cradled for about a half hour, the small girl finally fell asleep. The heavy sadness in Tara’s heart grew when she looked at the tear stained face.
“Tara?” Willow whispered into the darkness. She discovered that Tara had turned off the TV and the faint fire lit the room up faintly. “What’s wrong?” She asked concerned. She moved closer and wiped the hair from Lily’s eyes. “Is she homesick?”
“No.” Tara whispered. “She just told me that her and her mom may be moving. She’s heartbroken, because she can’t leave Hadley.”
“Oh.” Willow frowned. “That is sad.” Her heart sank.
“I know.” Tara felt her heart clench. Lily had become like a second daughter to her, to them. If they felt torn at the news, how exactly would Hadley react if she found out Lily was moving? “Please Goddess.” She whispered.

"I'd personally like to see Elektra and Lara Croft go head to head. I'd so pay to see that."
"What if you add Dark Angel? - And maybe a little Faith to add to the Buffy effect."
