~Part 44~~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Is that all the stuff?” Xander asked, wiping beads of sweat from his forehead.
“I think so.” Dawn replied, placing another box down in the foyer of Willow’s house. “I’ll go check.” She ran towards the rented pick up truck.
“Thank you so much Xander.” Willow came up to him and gave him a big hug.
Xander enveloped his best friend in his arms. “No problem Willow.” He smiled. “Besides, Anya’s getting at me for eating too much turkey on Thanksgiving day. I think she’s worried I’ll beat her in the big belly section, then not lose it while she can. I could use the exercise.” He shrugged.
“Where is Anya anyway?” Willow opened up a box and began to take out its contents. She looked at the handmade carved candle holders and smiled.
“She’s with Faith at the diner. They’re getting some lunch and probably bugging your fiancee.” He chuckled.
“Oh, I’m hungry, why didn’t they invite me?” Willow pouted, missing her Tara.
“Probably because you volunteered to help Xander and I bring over the Maclay belongings.” Buffy smiled sweetly as she flopped back on the couch. “That’s everything, now we have to help you sort all of this out.” She gestured to the scattered boxes and furniture.
“Well that’s all we could get.” Willow sat down beside her best friend. “Since Tara was renting the house, she needed to give her three weeks to a month’s notice. Therefore, half of her stuff is here and half of her stuff is there.”
“You can always rent another truck and haul Xander’s growing belly back and forth again.” Buffy laughed.
“Yea, tell me Xander, when is your due date again?” Willow grinned.
“Ha ha!” Xander shook his head and patted his stomach. “I did not get fat!”
Dawn walked in with one last box. “This would be Hadley’s box.” She noted. “I believe she packed it herself.” She studied the cardboard box. Hadley name in bright red marker with tape all over.
“Yea, after Hadley played around with her witch-y powers, Tara had to keep an eye on her, so they packed up Hadley’s room together and the little one wanted to pack her own things.” Willow smiled softly.
“How does Tara feel about that? Hadley’s magical abilities.” Buffy looked at her best friend, concerned.
“Freaked. But she knew she had to deal with it sooner or later.” Willow looked at the gang. “Hadley just doesn’t understand yet, even though she is a very bright and smart young girl, she’s still young and is still very curious. Especially with the things she can do that no one else really can, at her age.”
“Thanksgiving was interesting though. Thanks to her.” Dawn giggled.
**Flashback
Hadley bounced around the house and nothing seemed to calm her down. She was just so happy and thrilled that her parents were getting married and she knew that her dream and wish couldn’t really get any better at that point.
“They’re getting married! They’re getting married! We’re all getting married.” The little blonde sang as Brady followed her around the house.
“That could be a new top 40 song, Had.” Tori grinned as she walked past the dancing girl.
“You think?” Hadley beamed and continued with her song.
Tara smiled at her daughter as she wrapped the China plates in newspapers and placed them into a box, carefully. “I was thinking that we could maybe sell some of this furniture.” Her gaze landed upon her sister.
“Sure.” Tori tucked a strand of brown hair behind her ear. “That coffee table we have to keep though.” She smiled sadly. “And those chairs and the couch.”
“And the dressers, lamps, desk...” Tara mirrored Tori’s smile. “But the kitchen table can go.”
“Yes, that was not mothers.” Tori grinned.
“Do I have to pack my doll right now?” Hadley asked, interrupting the conversation, though not on purpose.
“No sweetie, we’re just getting the main things packed so Willow and I can start taking them over to our other place.” Tara smiled at her daughter.
“I love that, our place. How cool is it that I am living with a hot model?” Tori was thrown an annoyed looked by her sister. “Sorry, WE are living with a hot model.” She chuckled when Tara throw a crumpled up piece of newspaper at her. “I just meant-“
“I got what you meant.” Tara grinned. “And I know.”
“Anyone home?” Willow’s voice came through the back door.
“Mommy!” Hadley came bouncing in and hugged the older woman. “Aunt Tori thinks you’re hot.” She grinned.
“Hey!” Tori looked at Willow and Hadley with slightly wide eyes. “So? She’s a model for a reason.”
“It’s okay.” Willow came in and patted Tori’s back. “You’re hot too.” She flashed Tori a grin and went over to her lover, and kissed her softly. “Hey.” She whispered.
“Hey you.” Tara grinned. “What brings you by?” She asked. “Aren’t you supposed to spending time with the Slayers and getting the turkey all cooked at our place?”
“They’ll be here in a bit.” Willow smiled. “They have…other plans. Which by the way, the food is smelling great!” She nuzzled Tara’s neck.
“News flash, my sister is not the food.” Tori giggled.
“So much to learn.” Willow licked her lips and kissed Tara again, her hands caressing the softness of skin on the blonde’s lower back.
“Mommy? You want to come up and see my messy room?” Hadley grabbed the redhead’s hand and pulled her away from her mama.
“Once the slayers get here, we’ll put the turkey in the oven to keep it warm. They are supposed to bring it over.” Willow smiled and followed her daughter upstairs.

“Anya! Stop…I’m not going to get fat.” Xander batted her hand away as she tried to undo his button on his pants.
“You never know.” Anya huffed and sat back on the couch. “But that was a very lovely dinner.” She rubbed her belly. “Baby loved it.”
“Can I show baby a trick?” Hadley asked as she placed her ‘baby girl’ doll on Anya stomach.
Anya looked at her with a look of amusement and curiousity. “Sure.” She smiled.
Hadley knelt down and took a deep breath. She smiled and watched as she concentrated on the energy around her. Her eyes went wide as the doll raised itself on Anya’s stomach and began to do things her mind commanded.
“Holy!” Xander watched the scene unfold. He watched Hadley concentrate strictly on the doll as it moved slowly against his fiancée’s stomach. “Hadley…”
Hadley was so engrossed in her actions she never heard Xander’s warning voice. As she split her concentration on separate things, pillows and candles began to dance around the room and the stereo came on by itself.
Tori and Dawn walked in and stopped dead in their tracks as more and more things began to move. “Hadley!” Tori knelt down beside her niece and watched as the doll danced along Anya’s belly. She looked up at the ex-demon and seen a mixture of amusement and concern.
Hadley tried to break the energy around her but it all seemed too strong to control. She tried to get the doll to stop dancing but it seemed like the music would get louder. She could hear people talking to her but she felt consumed. Looking to her right, she looked at Tori with wide blue eyes. “I can’t stop.” She mouthed, her facial expression full of worry.
Tori looked at Dawn and asked her to get Tara and Willow. “Anya, hold the doll down.”
Anya grabbed the doll and held it tightly to her chest as Willow and Tara came in and gasped. “What the…” Tara looked at her daughter, who was crumpled on the floor with embarrassment and worry.
“Here,” Tori stopped Tara with her hand as she picked up Hadley. Soothing soft words and rocking her niece, Tori closed her eyes and focused on calming the high energy down, on calming the small girl down. She felt the rush through her veins as things seemed to slow down.
Tara and Willow looked back and forth at each other as they witnessed the sight before them. Tori having Hadley cradled in her arms, caressing her back soothingly as the things that were floating before them, slowly sunk down onto the furniture or floor.
Hadley opened her eyes and seen her doll lying flat on Anya’s stomach without it being held down. The music had stopped and everything was calm again. Locking her gaze on her parents, her bottom lip quivered and she began to cry.
Tara watched her daughter begin to cry. “Hadley, what’s wrong?” She rushed to her side and took her from Tori’s embrace. “Thank you Tori.” She whispered and kissed her sister on the forehead.
“You and mommy are mad at me.” Hadley sobbed.
“No sweetie, we are not mad at you.” Tara held her close as she rocked them.
“Tori…how did you-” Willow began.
“I don’t know.” Tori answered quickly as she stood up. “I really…don’t know.”
Dawn wrapped her arm around her girlfriends waist. “Are you okay?” She asked. She noticed the frown across Tori’s face.
“I just mean that you pushed Tara and I away for calming the energy down…did you know you could do that?” Willow asked softly.
Tori looked at the model and smiled a bit. “I felt I could do something, and if I didn’t try…”
“Looks like both my girls are growing into something more.” Tara smiled and picked up Hadley. “We’re going to get started on Hadley’s room. I need to talk with her and she’s not feeling to well.”
Willow turned around to face Tara and Hadley. “Okay baby.” She leaned in and kissed Tara softly, then nuzzled Hadley’s neck. “I love you two.”
“I love you mommy.” Hadley said in a very small whisper.
“I’m going to grab the slayers from their make-out session in the backyard and you two come down whenever you want dessert. I think we’ll just play a card game or something.” Willow grinned and rubbed her shoulder. “Are you going to be okay?” She whispered to Tara, noting the concerned look in the blue eyes.
Nodding slowly, Tara let out an uncertain smile. “We’ll talk later.”
“Okay.” Willow watched as the two blondes made their way up to Hadley’s room.
**End Flashback
Willow thought back to that night last week. She held Tara as she cried, she felt it coming off of Tara, the worry, the concern, the love for Hadley. Her lover was right, Hadley and her magic abilities not only proves that she’s getting stronger but also that she is growing up. After hours of talking with Tara, Willow wrapped her up in her warm embrace and soothed her to sleep.
“I have to admit though, the dancing baby was kind of neat.” Xander replied.
“Yes, I missed all of it.” Buffy pouted.
“Only because you were lip locked with a certain slayer.” Willow grinned and opened a box. “Hadley’s doing better now, though. Tara is teaching her about the elements and such. Last night, we all laid on the floor here, in front of the fireplace, as Tara taught us how to meditate and communicate with our inner selves.”
“Well that’s good right? I mean, she’s teaching Hadley how to control her magic and when to use it or when not to.” Buffy said.
“It’s very good, and Hadley’s doing an awesome job so far.” Willow beamed.
“Did you ever find out about what triggered Tori?” Xander asked Dawn, who was sitting quietly through the conversation.
Dawn looked down at her feet and bit her lip. “Um, Tori doesn’t like to talk about it.”
Willow nodded and sat down beside the teenager. “Tori holds a lot of power, but she’s not one to follow with it.” She explained.
“You know, like in Practical Magic? Nicole Kidman’s character, she struggled with her magic when she was younger. That would be Tori, only Tori didn’t mind that she never really learned as much as Tara did.. She always felt it was a gift for Tara, or her mother.”
“But it’s clear though, clear that she holds a lot within.” Xander pointed out. “We all seen what she did.”
“I didn’t.” Buffy stressed again. She was about to whine about what she was being left out when the door opened. “Hey!” She jumped up and hugged the visitor.
“Hey.” Faith hugged her back. “Sorry for not knocking, Red. Anya needs the bathroom bad.” She chuckled as Anya brushed past.
“What is wrong with these babies? Don’t they know you NEED your bladder!” Anya huffed as she ran for the bathroom.
“Where’s the food?” Buffy asked, letting go of her girlfriend and inspecting her hands.
“In my belly.” Faith smirked. She watched the pout curl on Buffy’s lips. “Relax B, I’m taking you all out for lunch. My treat.”
“How?” Dawn asked.
“Check.” Faith smiled and flashed her check in the air. “I do have a job…” She sighed. “Okay, fine. Kira sent me some money until I get back on my feet. You remember Kira right?”
“Yea, cute girl, short…shares a scare with you.” Buffy traced the scar on Faith’s lip. “So sexy.” She whispered.
“I hope you don’t mind, but she’ll probably be coming to visit soon.” Faith smiled, kissing Buffy’s fingertips.
“We don’t mind.” Willow grinned.
“Well, come on…I’m starved.” Buffy dragged her girlfriend out the door and almost everyone followed.
“Okay, I’ll just wait for my pregnant fiancée.” Xander laughed lightly as the door closed behind the rest of the gang. “Yup, waiting for her to empty her bladder.” He rubbed his stomach and mumbled to himself. “I’m hungry.”

"I'd personally like to see Elektra and Lara Croft go head to head. I'd so pay to see that."
"What if you add Dark Angel? - And maybe a little Faith to add to the Buffy effect."
